Not mine, just passing info if someone is looking. $400.00 http://dayton.craigslist.org/for/4852319316.html
If someone on here got it, how about posting some pics when you get it for others to see. It was REALLY minty fresh!
I run a 026pro and love it. I bought it in 1999 and I think I paid $299 and tax for it. I pretty much cut our firewood and some other cutting. Not fulltime but this saw has impressed me. For the bigger wood I got a ms391. I love a good running saw and a sharp chain.
I agree, my 026 from the early 90's is one of my favorite saws. Bullet proof, light and pretty powerful for a smaller saw.
I have a ported 026 PRO. It won't beat a 346XP or 550XP in timed cookie cuts but it is just a sweetheart to use. A very likable chainsaw
I remember seeing a NOS 026 on CL in Oklahoma a short time back. They guy wanted very little for it ($250), the next day it was up for sale on AS for $600. Wow, another Michigan member! Welcome aboard!
I have to agree. It's not the most powerful saw in it's class, but it just seems right when I use it. I find myself grabbing it when I should be using my MS 440.
3rd'd, I grab my ported 260 a lot. She just feels 'right'. Even having my 2 month old 2253, the 260 gets a lot of use. On smaller stuff, cutting speed is comparable between the two running an 8T on the 260. But when the wood gets bigger, the ported saw pulls much better. I've had my 260 longer than any other saw in my signature, 7+ years now. It's not going anywhere for a long, long time.
Glad to hear the love these 50 cc saws are getting. I picked up a lightly used MS260 Pro Arctic this year for $250
I might need to look into getting my saw ported. Not sure about anyone around here doing it so I may need to look into bringing it to one of our resident guru's on one of my trips south of the border
