Sunny and 45 degrees today...couldn't wait to get outside. I called my Dad to see if he wanted to top-off his woodpile. We grabbed the saws and headed to a neighbors property. They had approximately 70 acres timbered a couple years ago. We cut for about 5-6 hours and got a couple nice loads of red oak.
Although the camera went dead, I did get a few pics

1978 Chevy Scottsdale 4x4 (heavy half ton). Dad bought it new and keeps her maintained. I think it has around 70K miles now. Just gettin' broke-in! :)

I had a 76 camper special with a flat bed and a cammed out Camaro motor. It was ugly and half wore out but ran like a raped ape.

I promise to post some pics of the bigger stuff. Camera went dead soon after we got there.
The larger Oak that needed to be split was averaging about 16-20". Just a snack for the 036:saw:

OMG! 45 degrees and sunny! That would seem like Heaven about now. I thought it was great we got to 34! Even today, 30 out there. Can't see the sun but no wind makes it an ideal time to be cutting wood. I had to knock off early when I got a phone call and had to come to the house.
