Sunny and 45 degrees today...couldn't wait to get outside. I called my Dad to see if he wanted to top-off his woodpile. We grabbed the saws and headed to a neighbors property. They had approximately 70 acres timbered a couple years ago. We cut for about 5-6 hours and got a couple nice loads of red oak. Although the camera went dead, I did get a few pics
It was a nice day WC wish I didn't have to work today, nice load and pics. Wish I had me one of them hydraulic loaders
1978 Chevy Scottsdale 4x4 (heavy half ton). Dad bought it new and keeps her maintained. I think it has around 70K miles now. Just gettin' broke-in!
I had a 76 camper special with a flat bed and a cammed out Camaro motor. It was ugly and half wore out but ran like a raped ape.
I promise to post some pics of the bigger stuff. Camera went dead soon after we got there. The larger Oak that needed to be split was averaging about 16-20". Just a snack for the 036
Nice looking wood you got there! Feels good to get that done I bet... It would be enjoyable cutting with your father too.
All you fancy Eastern folks with your Oak this, red oak that bla bla bla. Just kidding, very nice score and you went with your father is priceless.
OMG! 45 degrees and sunny! That would seem like Heaven about now. I thought it was great we got to 34! Even today, 30 out there. Can't see the sun but no wind makes it an ideal time to be cutting wood. I had to knock off early when I got a phone call and had to come to the house.
