The Neiko gun I had been using all the sudden stopped working after about the tenth time I dropped it on the concrete floor in the basement, go figure. There was a Ryobi one in the tool section for $30 and it only went to 600f. Found this one over by the grills, at that price at bought two.
I have the ryobi one that tops out at 600 and that has been a minor problem. It is worth finding one that can read higher temps. At that price, I might buy another for fun.
