The Neiko gun I had been using all the sudden stopped working after about the tenth time I dropped it on the concrete floor in the basement, go figure.:picard:

There was a Ryobi one in the tool section for $30 and it only went to 600f.

Found this one over by the grills, at that price at bought two.

This is about the same thing I saw with the Neiko gun, the blower is on high

I have the ryobi one that tops out at 600 and that has been a minor problem. It is worth finding one that can read higher temps. At that price, I might buy another for fun.

Yep, second one is currently used as cat entertainment and random temp measuring.

I was at a home depot today and actually remembered to ask about the temp guns. There were two left at that time. Were. The floor help told me they would be on sale for one more week only, and then removed. "Oh, you sell the unsold ones to dollar stores or something?"
    "No, we destroy them."
(Can you imagine all the valuable items that have been destroyed and thrown out by this company over the years? What a waste!)
Anyway, 99 lbs wanted to know what are those for. Reading temperatures. You don't need them, she says...all you have to do is listen to me, I'll tell you if the stoves need more wood or not! Kinda hard to argue with logic like that!
"So really, why are you getting them?" "Well, they're kinda like cat toys-cats really love 'em."
    Walk to car in silence.

Thanks for the heads up on this bargain, Dave!
