    Has anyone built a dedicated chain sharpening workbench that they would be willing to post pictures of. Picked up a second sharpener so I can keep one set up for .325 and one for 3/8. Would like to build a bench to mount both of them on and looking for ideas.

    I know Firewood Bandit had a couple great pics and a very nice setup somewhere around here.

    But I'll be paying attention to this as this is one thing I need too...

    I know this is no help, but I'm gonna participate anyway! I do have a dedicated sharpening station, but it would get tricky to try & set up a second sharpener, so I just switch wheels...

    I have a grinder.....

    But since I added these (round on left, square on right) I have taken down the grinder and will likely post it in the Classified section soon. :)

    That grinder is cool!

    What brand is it as I have never seen anything like it. I have one question and that is every grinder I have seen the chain moves from left to right. This one appears to go the other way or I am not seeing something right. Do you move the tilt of the head to switch from left to right cutters?

    Are you talking Scott's shop in August WI?

    I am meeting a buddy there at 10am today before we cut pulp.

    I am not taking pics, they would look at me like I am nuts.

    You rang????????

    They day I made the bench, when it was nice and clean. I made it at chest level so you can see what is going on easily without bending over.

    I like a lot of LIGHT too.:bug::binoculars:

    It's a Foley Belsaw 308. You're seeing it correctly in that you advance the chain from right to left. It has a reversing motor on it, so no changes are necessary when switching cutter sides.

    I've been very happy with it, but truthfully it's the only grinder I've ever owned or used, so I have nothing to compare it to.

    My 4 year old son helped me build the box that my sharpener is mounted on. Clamps hold it in place on my workbench. If it's in the way, I can release the clamps and move it temporarily. Workbench is a MESS!!!

    One tip I forgot about is putting a big magnet behind the grinder. It will catch a good chunk of the metal filings. The middle grinder has one in the pictures I posted.

    The magnet will look like it has grown a beard as time goes by.:like:
