We call it The BOOM BOOM Room
1000sf , I milled the materials and built it my self (as in no one else helped,, lucky I have a knuckle boom truck), scissor trusses and all. Hydronic heated floor + wood burning stove.

It has a bedroom so it doubles as a guest house

Next is to install a product I make called Woodweave.
Thin slices I make on the band mill, weave them together fresh cut and put it in a frame.
Hang it like a drop ceiling.

It's on a concrete slab with raised t/G flooring with pex hydronic heat, the walls are 2x6 insulated/shethed with 3/4 cdx
the trusses are 2x6 with plywood/glue/nail gussets, ply on the top with sheet metal roofing.
The name BOOM BOOM Room came from The Flintstones cartoon.
The BBR is Tee'd onto my woodworking shop (same construction) it's 32x50'.
Took me a yr to do the construction not including milling/drying/truing the lumber

Very impressive work. What are you planning to finish off the cover for the ceiling trusses?

So hydronic infloor heat, huh? Is there a boiler, or does the wood stove heat that water? How many zones?

My dad had a plumbing and boiler business, and I worked for him for a year or so.

    Howdy
after the insulation is complete I'll cover the ceiling with a product that I make called Woodweave.
It can be used as a drop ceiling panel for indoor or outdoor. I mill .01" slices on my bandsawmill and weave them together (green/fresh cut) and put it in a frame.

I use a Taylor woodfired water heater.
The BBR has a wood stove also.
I set the BBR up as 1 zone. It's 1000sf and the bedroom walls do not go to the ceiling so floor on/floor off works fine.

Looks like there's room for a pool table in there!
Nice idea for the ceilings. Wish I had a bandsaw-mill. What kind of mill do you have?
Can't understand why no-one would help out with a project like that.
