I'm doing a 039 rebuild. Before I took the saw down I noticed it wasn't oiling like it should. So I got a new worm drive for it. Got the saw completely taken down and the worm drive looks pretty good. Should I go a head and just change the pump out?
I'd like to know what you guys think.

I would make sure the oil line is not kinking in the tank and not obstructed before replacing that pump.

Plus.... On a Husqvarna 257 that I had... I had the same problem. The gear looked fine. I checked everything out... Still nothing. So i put in a new gear. Worked perfectly. Its cheap insurance to buy one and try ... At least for the Husky saws !
