In the late 70's I work at a factory here that all we did was make Woodland wood burning stoves. They were a really good stove back in the day. I came across this Craigs list add this morning. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/for/4784101709.html That's almost double what they sold for new as I recall. The real kicker is that I have the next smaller sized stove sittin out back on the scrap pile that needs nothing more than a blasting and paint and maybe new door gaskets. I was going to give it to a buddy to use in his shop last year but now I think I might have to drag it in and pretty it up.
Obviosly a pre-EPA stove. $600 is a bunch of money for something that old. You can get something newer post EPA for that kind of money. Not even sure what it's worth as scrap metal. I'd say $150 would be a decent price for like a shop or outbuilding heater.
My apologies. I posted an old vid I made on my original post and didnt take the time to listen to the whole thing before I posted it. I edited it out of my original post. Some times I forget to mind my manners. Not that I had to many to begin with.
