Hello all, just found the site and signed up. Thank-You for the add. I am from Northwest Indiana, cut firewood to heat my house. I cut 3-5 full cord a year to stay 2 years ahead on aged wood. Have an old Vermont castings Defiant that I heat a 1200 sg. Ft. house with. I"m 50 years old, married and have 2 Jack Russells and miniature Doxie to help with the wood. I cut and stack it, and the rest sit around the stove and enjoy the heat! I cut with Stihl saws, don't hold that against me, started with cutting with them and have stayed with them. I have a 192t, an 029, and an 066. Works well for what I cut. Again, thanks for having me. John D. Myers:
Welcome to the FHC family. Make sure you take some pics of the wood stacks, saws, stove, and anything else that we can relate to on here. I would like to see pics of the dogs as well..
Welcome to the forum Iceman, sounds like you will fit right in here. Come and have a seat by the fire
Welcome Iceman, you seem to be afflicted with the same mental deficiency as the rest of us woodenheads here. You gonna fit in nicely! That 066 is a beast! And remember without it's just another fairytale!
I will have to figure out this picture posting thing you speak of, I did mention I was 50 right? LOL This new fangled technology eludes me most of the time LOL. My wife made me get rid of a perfectly good flip phone last year for some new fangled internet capable Sam something or other5 thingy that I can hardly answer an incoming call on!
Click on upload file at the bottom, a box will pop up to find the picture on your computer, click on that, click OK then click on thumbnail. If you need more explanation more help don't be afraid to ask someone will help you right out
Dude, I'm 61 and if I can post a picture on this forum, anyone can! Everyone will give you pointers wen the time comes and the admin folks are a great help in these areas. Keep the faith baby!
Hey John, welcome aboard. The pic thing is very easy once you give it a shot. Looking forward to your pics.
Welcome to the family, Iceman! Pics aren't too hard. When you make a post, go to the "upload a file" tab below the text box. Click on the tab and it should prompt you to choose a folder, choose "documents", then you can get into the photo gallery in your phone. Sounds like you have a Samsung S5, I have the S4 so it's basically the same. We'll get you through it. That's the nice thing about these phones, taking pics and posting them to the forum. Not too hard at all.....
