So I was talking to my neighbor this afternoon, nice widow lady she has 3 saws she wants to sell can anyone give me a ballpark what they are worth? (Sorry the pics aren't the best) Husqvarna 359 which I had used several years ago, good saw but needs some work carb or something wouldn't stay running , 1 Echo 8000, 1 Echo 510 don't know much about either of these 2. None of them has been started in at least 4 years that I know of. Figured they might be good projects if I ever have the time. This is the look I got from the wife when I mentioned it.:picard::loco:  and then this:rofl:

In running condition these are ballpark figures. I've not seen a 510 for sale though so that's just a guess. Those series of echo saws are tough and reliable.

    359 $250-350
    8000 $300-350
    510 $150-200??

I sold a grey 8000 (running and operating with a 20" bar) a couple of months ago for $275.

I'd pay up to $300 for the 359, if the cylinder is good. It's goin to need a non-cat muffler and a metal intake clamp if these have not been changed already.

I paid $125 for one & $170 for another recently. Both super clean, but needed top-ends

IMO guys are just paying to much for their used saws. I sold my woods ported and stock 372's for $400.
Woods ported OE dozerdan 346 with a couple tanks on new topend $350. dozerdan woods ported like new OE 346xpG $400-450. NE 346's $300 like new. etc etc.

Older Echo's are pretty well gutless. The Husky might be ok if it has the metal clamp as mentioned. $250 for all 3

I would say the 359 is worth $2-300. I'd pull the muffler and inspect first. Not sure on the other two.

Driver, you were just on here trying to decide on a bigger saw. Well that 8000 is 80 cc"s and would fit the bill if it is a runner. That would save you a ton of money if it worked out.

If you aren't going to resell it maybe. The question is what is a fair price for "both" Driver & the lady. I think that saw that needs some work is aways down from your estimate... unless Driver just wants to throw some money the ladies way. I've heard of worse things, Randy

Most of the prices being posted here are what the saw is worth to the individual posting, Not a buy to resale price.

I have a echo 8000 with just squish tighten here that has put a hurting on poulan 5200 85cc and p60 or p62 98cc. 24" bars only though in hardwood cuts.

Watch what you wish for. I would put it against any stock ported 80cc and under saw.

Your 372 dont even think about it. ;)

A good 7900 and 681 would probably beat it in cut times. But in 20" wood and bigger I would give it a go.

I have owned and ran 7900 ported and stock and ran 681 ported and stock.

    How the 7900 do against a 8500 5200?
