Snapped this picture on this mornings walk with Doug.

Loved walking past the other houses, cold and wind blowing, smiling to myself as I saw and heard their furnaces running.

Now to get some breakfast then held out to scoop the church sidewalks. Have a great day everyone!

It looks like we may be inside most of the day today. Fresh snow on the ground from last night. Weather does not look like it will cooperate for any outside work. We will see. Caffiene going down now. A light breakfast. Then it will be time to bring some wood in. Back to work tomorrow, so today I will bring a bunch of wood in for the week. I need to sort out some Ash and Maple for the cold snap coming. Burn some Pine while I'm home today. Stay warm and safe with whatever you guys do today.

We need to bring wood up but the yard is so wet that I can't get the truck back there without leaving ruts today. :( Looks like we get to go old school and carry a bag at a time. :picard:

Set a slow paced goal Pete. No starting until noon. I think you know why. Two trips there and back with wood. Sit down for 15 minute break with cold beer. Repeat. By 3pm it will be lay down time!

Nop no barrel rolls but we did almost plow a plow truck head on. The dingus turned right at me and didn't stop until I blared the horn and flashed the lights. County truck and all! Scared the crap out of the wife too we had no where to go but down a farm ditch and that was last resort. He turned out to be a nice guy but just didn't pay attention. He said ( "I never see cars through here!! I am so sorry…" ) Me thinks he had a Phone…..

    Thanks Bro!

95 miles in a 2wd blazer in the slush sucks!!! I love the new tires though the hold the road really well and make the 2wd very tolerable.

It's raining pretty good at the moment so after this last cup of java, I'll scrap the driveway down before the cold comes in.

Good that you're home... right side up Pete... ;) Once you got rollin' faster than 20 mph, I don't think it makes any difference whether we have 2wd or 4wd... just how we're driving and what kind of tires. I do think it's entertaining tho to watch (from a distance) all the SUV drivers with 4wd, stuffin' and crunchin' their way thru winter... cuz they just know they can go any speed they want... uh huh... :picard:

I've got a 1986 k1500 that is literally unstoppable crappy tires and all. Last year I was driving past trucks completely bottomed out after a big blizzard and I pulled out two of them and a tow truck on my way home. I love that old girl! :D

My old ranger was much the same it was hard to get stuck too. I agree completly though it's in how the driver drives not how the 4*4 works. We have had that blazer for 12 years and she ain't got stuck but twice with me behind the wheel. I've driven it through some nearly stuff and as long as I have some bed weight and good tires it goes sometimes slow but it goes.

I'd think some ole chainsaw chains wrapped around tires would give ya some bite too. Could even climb trees with em... :D... and stump removal... ;)

I ran out of kilz, and opened a can of wall paint. Expensive yes, but small time frame to paint the floor without the lil one here, and the roller and pan was out already. The wall paint smells MUCH better. Interesting.

And no, we are not getting her back today, the pass is still icy..:(
