No, actually it's controlling a propane furnace, but it will run any millivolt appliance.....almost positive it will be fine on yours.

Hey, yeah I am close to finishing, I could have started it awhile ago. But decided to completely finish before test firing.

It takes a long time before the furnace starts to feed on its own. At least mine does in manual. I only tried it once to make sure I could, but it says to mix 2 cups of pellets and ignite. I used 1 cup, mixed with some gel and several chunks of a Firestarter. Then as it died, I opened the door and added more pellets until the unit started to self feed. It took about 10 + minutes.

Got it going again. I was waiting for the five lights to go out and down to one light, doh! I had to press the on/off button to go down to one light. It's flashing on heat and the auger is coming on/off, must be a good sign.

You could of push the manual auger button to keep feeding the fire so you didn't have to open the door. Mine has that option, not sure on yours? I gotta find a 2 1/2" elbow to fit the air intake as the DT-M vent is in the way for the flex pipe connection.

I need to get me one of these new fangled auto ignition units. :)

It's gel and matches for me. And the manual auger button.

I'd asked Fahrenheit if I could convert mine to auto ignition. I could, but it would cost me about what I paid for the unit when I bought it used.

That kind of cash buys a lot of starter gel. And beer.

Love my Fahrenheit. I would be pressed between buying a Harman if this one ever dies on me. Buy a Harman and possibly use less pellets (or more??)? Or a new Fahrenheit? Or a St. Croix Revolution (this was my 1st pick. But found the used Fahrenheit. Close and cheap) :)

The new Fahrenheit furnaces burn much different/better than the older models (unless mod'd). My BIL's Fahrenheit burns completely opposite of mine (same vintage/version 3 burn pot and software v1.2).. He is going to buying some new and updated parts for better airflow this Spring, but it doesn't have the ferocious burning fire like mine does.

The dealer a bit north of me has a 'scratch n dent' St. Croix for $2600. New ones are $3500 or so. They look like a decent unit.

I have zero complaints about my Fahrenheit. Next week will mark two years of using it. It's some of the best money I've spent.

I do need to shut it down and give it a good cleaning before next weeks cold snap hits.

The insulation needs to be flapped over and tapped with 3m foil tape still. Cold air is in the works....

I saw those on Craigslist. Tried to get them to ship me one, but they wouldn't do it. I'd like to get a Revolution, but don't want one bad enough to drive to Grand Rapids and back. The SCF 050 is working out pretty well so far. It does well until the wind kicks up, then the CPM kicks on to help out. Either way, I LOVE the furnace. I'll never use a free standing stove as my primary source of heat again. It helps that I'm burning corn that cost $125/ton too. The CPM wasn't very happy with straight corn. The SCF doesn't care.

Awesome! ! Glad it's working for you! I was hoping you would keep the CPM as a back up, or for the shoulders. That furnace you have is another great unit and very similar to the Fahrenheit. Except the burn pot cleaning system.

My furnace handles the duties, but because the center 2 rooms in the house have no registers? Those rooms (living room and dining room) are a little cooler. The Enerzone is in the Living room and will kick on if the temp falls below 70° in there :) (has to be cold though. Like 10° or below)

I have all the supplies to redo all my ductwork, but they came after I
we started using it often. So it will probably wait till Spring to redo the new hot air plenum. I'm going to run one register to the living room or dining room. We added an extra register to our bedroom last year. We only had the one register in the master bath. It was far from enough to heat the entire bathroom and the bedroom. With 2 registers, it has no problem heating it. Heck, now we have to keep the registers to the bedrooms closed about 90%. Otherwise it becomes 80° + in no time. :). Don't believe me, ask my Brother in law chbryson

I taped all my joints which was a pain in itself, I cannot see myself doing all the insulation part of it(maybe now I might) Wicked job will bring wicked results. Big thumbs up going through all those extra miles:thumbs:. Cannot wait for the firing up moment.

Thinking ahead I am still trying to see if my Lux tstat can run my oil furnace and Endurance. I obviously won't be using them together but it's great if it could.
The point is not to fish wire upstairs if I don't have to. I am going to see if any wires are left to use in that bunch. Because the furnace is hooked up as well as central ac which we don't run really at all. Not sure if there are 2 free wires I can use. If so, when I flip the tstat on it normally fires up the oil
Furnace. What do I do to fire up the pellet furnace now?

Select "Manual" mode on the Control panel, make sure ignition is set to Automatic, and then press "On" (make sure the auger is primed)

It will go through a cleaning cycle, then once done with it, it will start to feed pellets, ignitor will be called on, and air pump will kick on. After a couple minutes smoke will begin to move around inside the firebox. Then.... Poof!! Fire :dex:
