Stinny, how about a piece of ductwork that will fit right on the end of the pipe and expand it to a large rectangle. You should be able to buy one at Lowes or local hardware store. Might send even more heat up that pipe for ya.

Yep, that's a gooder idea. I'm doing this mostly to see how much heat I really need to trap and get up thru the floor reg.

Edit: OK, here's what I tried... gettin hot in here...

I'm doing dishes and look out the window and see...

GREEN GRASS. Not that I am complaining since we had the Hell Winter last year. I've just never seen green grass north of the latitude 40 in January.

All done working for today. Got some more firewood on the pile for next year. Another large log for the customer. Time to relax at the camp by the pellet stove, watch the kids slide. And then eat crockpotLasagna for supper. Plans got changed from lunch to supper.

I cracked a bunch of Hickory nuts that I froze in the fall of 2013, then I roasted them.

They look a little like walnuts. What do they taste like?

They are similar to walnuts, they are very good roasted. It's a lot of work though

Just got a call our son and family and their foster kids are coming up to the lake to visit. They have a 6 wk old that they got fresh from the hospital, first time I've seen the baby and they also have a 3 yr old they're watching after. The 3 yr old wants to come play in the snow.
