It's always better to have both ends of the logs off the ground if they are going to sit for a while...and if you have a way to get them up there.

Well done Gas, by all means I would put 2 dryers under them. Certainly will help keep them decent and what the heck, can't hurt.:tree::thumbs:

I will do the two logs for dryers. Hopefully these logs won't sit for very long. I hope to have enough logs for him by end of this weekend or maybe next weekend. Then I will get together with him and we will come up with an agreement on price, which will include cost for me to haul them to the saw mill for him.

I don't know much about it, but I am planning on using this table to help calculate the board feet in a log. This should give me a fairly accurate amount for board footage. Then I can figure my price from there.

Wow. Some big auto pile-ups in New Hampshire. Weather not good for driving at normal speeds.

Like Rotti said, some people think four wheel or awd means they can drive faster in the bad weather. :picard:

Strange here tonight without the lil one. All 3 of us have been together for so long this winter between illness/bad weather/preschool holiday closings. hmm.

Yes. It is strange. There are times when we, especially my wife, need a break from the little ones. (She also teaches 1st graders.) Then when you take a break from them you feel strange not having them around and you start to miss them. Then your glad when you get back to them.

I'm at work and the first light is making it's way to the underside of the clouds in the distance, it's 'red in the morning, sailors warning' kinda color. Snow starts later today.

Time to get ready to go to work in the woods here. Lots to do. Check generator for crappy weather coming, get gas, and spend most of day cutting firewood. But we will take a nice relaxing lunch break down to camp. Wife is going to make a crock pot lasagna. Oh yeah!

Wanna get a 6" duct pipe I've had leaning against the wall, cut and screwed to the area just below a floor register. Just to try it... the lower end will lay right over the hottest surface of the Liberty. That gets up to 600 plus most of the time. Without this duct pipe, the floor register gets a little of the heat, but not nearly enough, fast enough, for the cold cold temps coming next week. The pipe prolly will make a huge dif.
