Post oak issue

    New guy with some questions. Any idea what is going on with this tree. Looks like 8 or so mature oaks all is same area have this issue. Any help would be great. Thanks

    Maybe some type of disease? The red spots maybe a reaction to it? I would think bugs would leave clean holes.

    Quite common on lots of oaks and others. We've never worried about it.

    I have noticed the same on some of my oaks and they all seem to be fine.

    Looks like some kind of rust blight......I wouldn't be too concerned. Our Norway maples get a black spot blight every other year or so.
