Question about these stoves,did they ever make them in montana?Have been told by no less than 12 "natives" that they are/were a montana product,but can find no info.Thought maybe they were like meyer plows where they sold through welding shops,and all mounting parts were flame cut on site?Thanks,Bob.

AWSOME.I know montie,his ex wife and the kids(we are probably related)and appears most of these stoves still out there are the canadiain ones,as most of the old ones are burnt out.There are 3 running up here on the mountain,and my old one is in paridise valley stil running.All are old style,no convertors or air systems,just old heavy stoves.Good info!
