We finally had our Heatmaster MF10000e outdoor wood boiler installed last week. It is great to not run the stored electric heat and not buying anymore propane for a long while. Love turning off the hot water heater. woodstove2.JPG

Looks like you cut your wood 3 ft +/-.

Welcome aboard Allis! I take it this is a non-pressurized system, meaning it has a open vent?
Sure will be nice for you to have all the wood mess outside, no? And yes, it seems that in this house, someone can't wait for the OWB to get fired up just because of the hot water!
    Did you formerly burn inside??

We both grew up with indoor wood stoves. We had electric stored heat and lp until now.

I have never heard of "electric stored" heat before. I had to google it. Lol. I love learning. Nice OWB!

How did your season go last year with the new boiler? How much wood did you go through? Where is that unit made?

Worked out great. I did not keep track on the wood usage. Goes through a fair amount when cold. Uses very little this time of year. Furnace is made in Manitoba.
