Tired of sitting around, so I got out and split up some of the wet Oak (it's frozen now), and got it stacked.
Didn't get a ton done, but I'll take the slightly less than 1/2 face I did get done.
More than I had done yesterday. Also split a few rounds of Spruce that were under the Oak, and got that stacked. There's another 1/3 cord of that to get done (maybe), and a bunch of barkless too that should be about 1/2 cord. Not too worried about the dead stuff, since it should dry just fine by '16-17.
I'm so far behind, I think I'm going backward.

I like how the saw works in frozen wood.
Looks like you got the itch out of sitting around
    Nice work Dave!

    Again Dave....you a funny guy.
I actually have used the Kreg, but I'm "fine tuning" my setup. Yeah, that's it. Fine tuning.:D
I don't have the right angle clamp, and it would really help hold the pieces of plywood in good alignment. The boxes I'm making (laundry cabs.) are ever so slightly not right.
    I hate that.
I plan to get the clamp (and some more Titebond) in the next couple days, and I'll shoot a couple pics of the progress.
This project got me in the shop, and I did some minor cleanup while out there. Lots more to do, but that was the plan for this winter.

Landscape timbers is what I'm moving to for runners and posts.
They're only about 2 bucks apiece on sale, so I grab a few when they are.

I love seeing Dave's stacks. Actually BOTH Dave's.

PD, get a little done here and there, it'll add up quick. I've been on vacay since the 23rd, and it's been so mild, damp, foggy, gloomy and miserable here all month that I feel like total CHIT and have had a hard time getting motivated over the holidays. Just spent several hours this afternoon getting my overrun area prepped for more stacking, I have around a trailer load of miscellaneous stuff (ash, cherry, hard maple and Norway maple) to split and I plan on using all of that stuff in the maple syrup evaporator in February, that is if we ever get some winter weather and a good couple weeks/months of freeze around here. I'm really depressed at this weather. Took away my desire to hunt deer too, because it's so mild you are covered in ticks when you go in the woods.....

    Just having fun, but:
Your stacks are still the "Gold Standard" for perfect seasoning stacks !

I have a few un-started projects on the list, I lack motivation thru the holidays.

Got a bad case of lackawanna too. This was not what I was looking forward to after 15" plus of snow, on frozen ground, in November. Oh well. Hang in there. Gotta get cold soon.

Yeah, I was starting to wonder myself.
I'd really like to get the wet stuff put up before we get hit with a bunch of snow.
The back was/is letting me know I did something. Time for some IBU treatment.
