There's a lot of others that may be culpable/liable here IMHO. FDA, insurance companies, bean counters.......etc.

$$$$$$ and quality are not mutually exclusive. It's not a crime to earn a profit.

Yes I would consult an attorney and yes I agree that it would seem that the company should cover costs not your insurance. The good part is that it sounds as if you will not have to come out of pocket either way it plays out. The company that made the hip are not necessarily the big bad guy, mistakes happen sometimes and things go wrong sometimes no matter how much research is done. Do your homework and then decide the best way to proceed forward once you have all the information you can gather.

    Will pray for success Sav

Agreed. But profit at the expense of Dennis' health and well-being IS a crime, IMHO.
The company that made the defective product should make things right, whatever the cost.
I know that's not the way things work, but it should be, again IMO.
Denny ought to be enjoying life, not worrying if he'll be bankrupted just trying to stay healthy.

As it said in that article, it would be wise to converse with an attorney experienced in handling these hip replacement situations. They already have had access to the info and research, both medically and legally to move this type of case forward.
