I'm having a hard time keeping up with this thread now, its too busy here.

At my house it feels like the 12 days of Christmas. Some of you might recall my twins birthday is the 20th, so over the weekend we had two parties (one for kids, one for family) and they already have a holidays worth of new toys. Toms of cooking as well - Italian buffet - ziti and meatballs on Sat, and then my Dad stayed over and we did mini Christmas ham dinner with them.

Monday I went out to the airfield. The state has been doing construction and they graveled our entrance road. I'll give you a hint, we are right next to the site where the movie "Shutter Island" was filmed and a lot of development is ongoing. It will be nice to have the better road though when the wetlands flood. Speaking of we got rained on while there. And we had a special visitor.

Meanwhile my wife continues to bake  In addition to 7 kinds of cookies and two birthday cakes, she has made 2 kinds of homemade bread and now is making sticky buns. That has been a two day project. This morning I made up a batch of homemade ricotta cheese, and rumor is that will turn into ricotta pie :drool: Oh and Ive got a rib roast dry aging in the fridge :drool::drool:

I'll need to go on a massive diet soon.

Along the way I finally managed after 5 years to get a railing put up on the basement stairs. Only took a year from when I bought the round stock ;)

A few more days of Christmas to go here. Wife's family coming today for Christmas eve polish dinner (fish and Kielbasa), then my mom comes tomorrow for Christmas dinner and then more cousins over the weekend.

If I get a fee moment over the weekend I have a new project almost done (hint)... and at some point I do want to try and split those rounds. Maybe.

the only thing that bugs me is this weather. Flood watch & too warm to burn, not even the fireplace :( Just isnt right!

Almost noon, grey, misting, miserable with a very good chance of it turning to snow later. Perhaps a white Christmas for the kiddies!!
I get to work this evening and hope the folks I x-ray will get to go home to their families for Christmas.
Be safe in your travels. Peace.
