    My dad has one of these and he refuses to give it up, it's gotta be forty years old.

    Granted it doesn't turn like it once did but a good starting and runner.

    I really enjoy the old homelites and have a couple super xl's . I still enjoy running them from time to time. They are heavy, loud, and will vibrate the heck out of your hands and arms, but they are built like a tank and super reliable. I'd guess that the super xl and their slightly smaller brother, the xl12, have cut as much firewood as any saw ever built.

    I actually have a running XL12 and a blue Super XL is inbound as we speak. I too like the old Homies as they were classic example of quality American manufacturing from that time period.

    My Homelite Super 1050 Automatic is another one I like to run on occasion. Hard to find wood big enough to keep it happy!
