Can you grab a few bags of another brand? There may be some ash in hard to get to places. Have you researched the leaf blower trick?
Yeah, with the thermostat currently. I adjusted it this morning to run a little hotter and cycle longer. Also, thank you for welcoming me to the forum.
Thank you everyone for your replies. I'm going to burn the stove hot and heavy for a day or two, with minimal cycling. My gut says that may make a big difference. There also a chance that in addition to these stove changes needing to be made, I just got a bad bag. Sometimes ---- happens and you have to just move on.

Probably won't. my stove is never off, no thermostat. same hard cake/clinker problem. it's the pellets. i've burned about 40 brands in my stove as i keep trying new stuff every year.... These get a very low score from me.
I can hear it now! "But it can't be the pellets it has to be your stove. The testing says they are awesome!"
I know I shouldn't have, Butt! No matter what them test say! Only way to see clinkers and ash cakes are in real stoves done by real testers! There I said it and I can't take it back!!
