They had turbos and no intercooler from 94.5-97. The forged rods went fir another year after 99.

I don't recall the specifics, but I remember searching for over a year for that specific year/model/engine for hubby. Too bad I can't get him on these boards! Bet you could yackity yak... He asked me to do the same for the Duramax that I now drive (year/make/engine/tranny).

Ouch that sucks! I rolled 425K on one of my old S10 pickups all original trans and motor I cried the day she died… That was my baby! Thats a sad feeling indeed. A good tool has a lot of stories behind it weather it is a vehicle or a hammer.:(

Intercoolers, thanks for the correction. And yes early 2000 had forged rods as well.

No problem. Supposed to be up to October 2000 build date trucks had forged rods.

Thats good to know. I can expand my desirable years if i need to look for a replacement. Was there specific years for transfer case shifter on the floor?

I don't know when they quit the transfer case shifter in the floor. I had an 09 that had it still. The 99 should be a 6 speed manual with L and 1-5.

His guys told him a semi coming towards in the opposite lane lost it and they went off the road to avoid the semi. Who knows the what really happened......but his crews are great guys, whats it called, "choose your battles"?

He turned it over and it ran, and after that many miles and hours in it over the last years he said he sounded right. Hopefully its coming home in Jan or Feb :)
Long story short, you have no idea what a good man I found, he is keeper way beyond his truck selections..... :) Met him in 1989...

I was mistaken, apparently the glo plugs were replaced on a different truck. So I guess we will continue to use the original ones from 99. And, I was informed the tires are not new, oh well. Hopefully he gets the window on suicide door taped up today. And he shocked me, he does not want to sell the Blazer! Personally I love the blaze so much I would like someone to cherry it out, but then again the seat is molded to my behind already
