It's obviously Christmas-shopping season, plus the start of winter, so like many of us I've been spending free cash on gifts and things that will help me through winter. I can't help but notice decent like new / used chainsaws for sale locally. Good quality stuff for reasonable asking prices. I haven't made any offers but I'm willing to bet their prices are still negotiable. Maybe they need cash too. I've noticed the pre-Christmas season is a perfect time certain things (man-toys, things you'd only buy for yourself) because there are many motivated sellers and few well-funded buyers. Are chainsaws one of these items?
You know, I always look forward to this time of year in hopes of some deals popping up on CL for folks needing some Christmas scratch. This year it's absolutely not the case though - at least at this point there is very little popping up and the prices are staying high. Who knows? Maybe they're just waiting until the very last minute and my CAD will have a good time next week... I have certainly notice some good saws for sale at good prices sitting longer than usual on the forums though.
I've been keeping my eye out, but I haven't seen any deals around here yet. There are a lot of level Stihls on CL, but people are asking very high prices too. I'm thinking mid-January when credit card bills hit is when some more things show up.
I never thought about guns....hmm, maybe I can score that lever action I've been looking for or a wheel gun for the wife.
