I know I'm behind, between the move and the wedding it has been a busy year! This weekend I finally got a chance to start on the wood I scrounged in the spring. Got about 1.25 cords done today!
I saw the first picture and thought it was Loon posting The IR takes splits that long? They look real long in the pics anyway.
Haha, Bear does look a lot like Emma. My IR will take up to 22" splits. I have a big mix in there of pieces from 12" to 22". I had to cut most of it down bc a lot of it was in 24" and 26" long logs.
Thanks guys! I made that log holder for the bucket when I had to cut all the cookies for the center pieces for the wedding.
Is that ash? Love working with that - heats beautifully too. What is the device made of 2x4's there? Is that a log jack? How do you like it?
Thanks Dave! I hope to get it top covered before the snow flys. I typically try to top cover at least a year before its burned
It sure is Ash. Thats a cradle I made when I was cutting cookies for our wedding. It works perfectly, just a bit of a pain to get the 20" rounds up on it
Nice work and some nice toys you got..it's always nice to get back into again after taking some time off ehh.
I hear ya, my dogs loved the hickory I was splitting! Any shards that hit the ground they were taking off with them. At the end of the day it took longer to clean up after them then it did to clean up after myself!
