Hi guys - saw an ad on CL for a large load of pine logs (1 and 1/2 cord) which were clean from a job. Free delivery. E-mailed the owner and I'm too far for delivery (about 35 min). But, owner indicated that he had a job in my town in the last week and does work in the area fairly often and would like to use me to unload the wood. Yup! So....hoping this might be the start of a good relationship to get some wood delivered in addition to what I drop - we'll see! And, yes, I'll tip - cash or beer - I like both - we'll see if he prefers one over the other! Cheers!
Awesome. Life as a wood hoarder is much better when you have a tree service contact. It's nice to pull up to the house and see that the wood fairy had stopped by
Me too Dave - we'll see - don't want to count any chickens yet - but this is the first time I might have found a source for dropped wood at the property - that would be nice. Pics if it happens! Cheers!
Nothing wrong with that.Still have a handful of White Pine my tree service contact dumped in Feb 2013.Wouldnt mind some more some day.Still have a few bigger clear rounds under a tarp (up in the air 4 feet on top of other big logs) that will be milled eventually.
I have a wood dump that gets endless amounts of wood and chips. Supply a 6048 Central Boiler heating a massive house/shop and sell some wood and mulch off every year. All free ,bucked to length and delivered. Occasionally some logs. Mmmmm hmmmm. Delish !
