My daughter seems to have a knack for attracting stray cats , she already has one stray that she has had for about 5 years now, Then this mother cat here showed up a few months ago with two kittens , daughter found the kittens a home.

A couple of months ago the same mother cat showed up with these guys, just this week she has found a home for all of the kittens but still looking for a home for the mother.
She took two of the kittens to San Diego to my other daughter for my grandkids.
Not a big deal she works for Delta Airlines so she flies for free

This time she took the mother cat to the vet and the vet gave her half price to get the cat spayed and shots, so no more kittens will show up.
Anyone want a real sweet female cat that has been spayed and shots??

Score another dead mouse. This is the 4th one in two months. They find their way into the glassed in porch. I let the cats go out there to exercise and sit in the sun. Once they catch a mouse, the leave it at the foot of my recliner. They don't bother eating them. No one taught these cats to hunt. It must be genetics.

Its all instinct, cats are naturally predators.
My cat got 4 mice in the house this month, so I set up some traps also.

Seems the darn things had a hayday here in the house while it was under constructiont his summer. Contractors coming and going day and night with doors/window/walls for that matter wide open alot of the time. This is while we lived in the RV. We have erradicated several in the last few months but I am still finding old droppings in VERY odd places, such as the top rack of a metal shelving unit I was using to store clothes... 7.5' high....

Those little buggers can climb up anything just like a spider, only faster.
I watched one climb up a metal bench leg in the factory, he was going after my doughnut wrapped in a paper towel.
Had field mouse a in an apartment a long time ago that little bastred could jump 6 feet

with a cat in your house, the mice don't stand a chance. We have three kittens who are also showing that they will be hunters. They play with toy mice like it was the real thing. As cats go, our cats are considered small cats, short legs, but good hunters.

I have always had cats since I was young boy, but never had a cat like this guy, the cat I have now is a bruiser, he is a big boy, 20 pounds and not fat , he is like a small dog.
The neighbors cats are lucky that he is an indoor cat

I'd LOVE another cat, we had apple-head siamese cats for over 20 years, both were large, wide, and hysterically social. I cannot care for them anymore and I won't ask more of overburdened hubby. Maybe when the lil one becomes more independent?

Our cats were good sized too. Ours were indoor kitties too, unless the entire family was out in the fenced yard...

I worked at a humane society in the clinic for several years, outdoor cats can get into serious trouble with simple things. I saw too much...... Then I was dumb enough to let our first cat use the dog door with the dogs because we were in the mountain foothills. Poor guy only lived a few years, an owl finally got him, and we assume yotes the remains the owl left. Talk about regrets.

my cat's in the past were indoor outdoor cats because I wanted them to enjoy life be free, but they come back sometimes tore up, or don't come back at all, and the last one that went out for a pee in the winter, that should have been a 10 minute deal never returned

I like that idea. I gave up on most house plants because the cats were eating them. Some might be toxic so I just gave up on the plants. That grass is a good idea and it feels a need for them.
