    Definitely gonna help
Handling icy snowy wood is a PIA.

Think it'll melt any time soon?

I didn't cover mine the other day. I'm counting on those two 40+ degree days this weekend/Monday.
Total accumulation here was only two or three inches, wind near the lake, so there isn't even that much on the piles that I have to stack. Probably should sweep them off roughly tomorrow before the melt, since the snow is pretty dry with the 20 degree temps. Be nicer handling when I stack. This wood is for the next two years, so plenty of time to surface dry.....

That's good that you covered it just in time. The weather here has been strange, but no major snow as of yet. Hope it stays that way. The other day we did some freezing rain so I took the day off from work. I really hate driving in that especially with all the morons on the road...

Thinking is the easy part, acting to get it done is where I run into trouble. Nice stack of rounds.

Good thinking! I was hoping to do some cutting and hauling this weekend, before we got all that snow. I should have covered my side yard!

You know, I couldn't help but notice you're using a pool cover. That would make a fine Uncle Augie solar kiln... :D:rofl:

Gosh, I don't miss that commute. I used to commute from Dutchess County to Elmsford, then later to Yorktown down the Taconic for 17 years. NC Winters are so much better and the roads are flatter and wider than in NY. I think I'm staying.

DOH! That's a gooder idea loon. I should grab a tarp before the next snow for the pile of rounds I still haven't split.:headbang:
NYC, it always amazes me how people in Michigan who've lived here their whole lives, can't remember how to drive once the snow hits.

I'm hoping to get a bunch of our downed trees cleaned up before too much snow gets on them. If it does, then I'll probably start knocking more down until the snow melts off the stuff that is on the ground. I got another load out today.
