Yes they do, several tines every day, if there is any ice outside I slip into something that has really good griping power, you do not want me to step on you there are apt to be about 48 new impressions in you.

I think we got about 7 inches so far here at the house. Still coming down. It has become worse throughout the day today. And more so since about 4pm.

Went out today. While it had rained all night, there was still an inch of ice on the ramp and on the driveway. We just kept tossing some ice melt ahead of us. Able to get to the garaged car while there was still traction. Then today, another storm. More sleet and rain. Tomorrow, more of the same, plus snow. Continues into Friday.

I think that earlier I plowed the driveway it had 5 inches of the wet heavy stuff, I'm thinking we picked up another four with the snow still coming.

We lost power for five hours @Gasifier,it came back on at 9:10 tonight.

Wow. Glad you got power back fairly soon. It gets to be a pain after a long period without it. No power outage here.

Turned back to snow for us last night. Luckily it quit and didn't dump on us. Had about an inch on the car and steps this morning. Roads were a non issue and mostly just wet, a few slick spots like the off ramp.

Supposed to get some decent weather tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!

same here, cars and lawn were covered, but the pavement was too warm to really accumulate anything. I put the snow tires on the car last night anyway just in case. I was planning to wait until saturday, but i froze my azz off instead to be sure. guess i didn't need to afterall, but better safe than sorry.

my hands are still red. lol

Still need the creepers here, the boss went off the lot to go to her quilt group meeting and Christmas party. Not really doing much of anything, just water dripping off the roof and on top of the mess.

Larry, find those creepers. I have two pair just in case.

I think I'll call around for some chains for the snow blower. I have this not so funny feeling.

Does that mean a funny feeling we are going to have a tough winter ahead? Or ......?

I hope not but a messy one is looking like it will be to me. Normally we get the high moisture events in November. I've spent many a day in November being wet while hunting, then things dry up a bit. I'm not so sure the airflow patterns are in that mode currently. Things have also swung around on the west coast.

When the wet hits in winter you either get ice in some form and rain or tons of snow depending on which side of the air mass you are on.

I can remember the national guard cleaning the streets in Portland one winter. There were many inches of hard as rocks ice and snow on them. The ruts were unbelievable.

Oh well I cleaned my pellet roaster this afternoon and spread the vacuum full of ash over this end of the driveway. I cleaned out the ash bin into the vacuum last week and dumped it before cleaning this week.

We can handle the mess here better than the cities can for some reason.

Same uneasy feeling here for the exact same reason. Give me snow or rain....both in the same storm followed by cold is a real PITA to deal with. My body hurts just thinking about it.

I was good and sore after the mess the day before Thanksgiving. Then none of us is getting any younger.

Woke up to 2" of heavy wet snow flurries this morning. I'm not impressed. I need to see the sun. It's been so long I'm wondering if it's still up there.

You wouldn't dare walk from the house to the coop and back without a pair on and that would be the easy walk of the day.

My driveway is up hill both ways, UPS, USPS, and FedEX refuse to enter the driveway at times in the winter. The last two sets of neighbors have left parts of their vehicles on the ground trying to use the driveway. So say whatever you want. I wear mine all winter when out in the yard.

Those are the mild mannered ones, you are 16 grips shy on each side compared to some I've worn. Then there are the heavy duty ones on boots and snowshoes.
