A friend of mine had a tree taken down in his yard and told me I can have the wood. I have plenty of White Oak for 14/15 and am working on Ash for the winter of 16/17. I also have a good load of white oak that will be ready in three years.

I have plenty of wood to get CSS but I can't turn this away. My dad is partial to Locust so it will make him happy. Compared to some others on here I feel like I am lacking on my wood duties. Hopefully, by spring, I will be 3-4 years ahead. Plus, I would like some extra for emergencies if someone needed some firewood or I could use it to barter with.

Good score. Thoughtful for putting aside for an emergency or someone in need. Good stuff there....

That's a lot of wood there. No problem with it rotting out, if you have the space stack it up and save it for a snowy day.

The locust is loaded up in the truck and trailer. I didn't want to leave it for too long because there is a neighbor that stops by and buys piles of wood my friend has laying around.

Friday I spent a couple hours cutting and loading up the truck. Saturday morning I brought the trailer, maul and X27 and completed the job. My girlfriends oldest boy helped load and split some.

Saturday was good because all we had to do was split some and load. Without the chainsaw running, we could spend time talking to each other and bond a little. Plus I lit up a good cigar and enjoyed myself. image.jpg
