    Splits look like ash and hickory, first set of pictures at the beginning of the thread I believe I see some american elm bark.

    I'm pretty sure you have black cherry, and norway maple. The stuff with the "burnt cornflakes" is the black cherry. It should have a reddish/salmon color on the inside. The rest - including the splits - looks like norway. The splits were from the vertical-striped bark one right?

    It's between soft maple and hard on the btus. Pretty much the same for the cherry. 1 year season kind of stuff. Great score there! :thumbs:

    Yes it did have a reddish salmon inside. It's all split and top covered for now. Supposed to get some wintry mix this week
