Arrow'd this guy a little after 7 this morning. I've spent as much time in the woods as I could this season without much luck. Our little one is starting to pop some teeth and the sleepless nights are back in town so my days in the woods may be numbered for the rest of bow season. This guy walked in and stood underneath me for 10 minutes. Once he stepped to 15 yds I decided it was time to put one in the freezer. He was quartering away so I aimed a little back and let it fly. He ran 40yds and crashed. Took out one lung and the heart. Definitely not the biggest I've shot but he'll fill a nice spot in the freezer.
Thanks Dave. Just a hard frost this morning. We only had some flakes here with that system that came through on wednesday.
Just looking for a place to post what dad got yesterday without starting a new thread. Dad just called to say he took a 9 off the land tonight. Using muzzleloader during gun season. Said 100yd drop. Kicked like a mule when hit in the heart. Had a 5second window while it was chasing a doe. Makes 2 off the land now. With the 15pt not reported taken yet by anyone. Said he has a early pic of it on the cam pics. Said maybe 16" wide basic 8 with 9 for kicker. Bad pic in velvet August.
I would be very happy with him in my freezer. Been a very slow year for us. Congrats Smokin ! Schoondog
