It was way too nice to sit around the house, so I went to my parents to find something to do.

    Nice day for cutting...

Still have to go back tomorrow with the ice fishing sled to drag a couple more like these out.

So tomorrow will be loading the truck and bringing everything home. If the weather is better than they are saying (freezing rain and snow) I hope to get out the splitter and play some more ! :axe:

Looks like good working conditions. What kind of wood did you get?

Not too bad. Nice rounds there. Was this laying on the ground or standing? Is there a lot more to get tomorrow

Mostly oak. Walked around for a bit afterward and spotted some more oak, birch and some cottonwood that I should probably get after.

This was standing. I think I have enough to keep me busy throughout the winter after walking around a bit.

Can't go wrong with that when theres nothing to do.
In the old days (as kids), if I ever said 'I have nothing
to do' to my mother she would open the door and point
me to the shed, go cut the grass she'd say. I didn't say that
    too often :)

    Prime BTUs there.
Some think it's just about the wood but
it's also about the enjoyment of being outdoors .
    Keep the pics coming :)

Loaded the truck and brought the wood home, don't think I'll get this load split until next weekend. I did have a curious onlooker while I was working :)

Nice! Good way to spend that time and super to have the animals come too. I saw several deer while hauling out a load of wood this afternoon.
