    Thought it might be interesting to see what modifications people will be making to their chinese saws for the cutting competition. I have picked up a chain to square cut and tunnel, looking for a new drive sprocket and will be porting and polishing the cylinder. Along with some muffler mods or custom pipe, will be trying some out to see results. probably going to raise compression also. love to try burning some nitro in it.....or maybe a NOS set up, we will see.

    Close to on topic but I am debating taking my left of 372 parts and building a Chinese play toy out of it. With a Chinese nikisil P/C I'd bring it if it was ready to the gtg BUT I am no where close to OH.

    I am sure someone would run it for you. The thoughts for rules right now are up to 50cc then 50-75 cc. most of the Chinese seem to be either 45cc or 62cc. purchase price for saw 100 dollars or less, have not seen any mod restrictions yet.

    that sounds like fun I think it would fun to not have restrictions. Just a base class of CC's and see what you can do with them.

    Heck. Depending on how it ran? I may trade you a decent saw for it. :) I am picking up a Stihl 026 tomorrow and I have the. Leanest 028 WB out there (no joke) it's 100% original and runs great.

    Come to think of it, the Stihl 026 is $100. Maybe I can put a Chi top end in it?? Be a lot easier to upgrade the drive rim sprocket.

    Back on topic about my saw. I am gonna try and do all of my mods. There have been so,e pretty informative threads out thee about port work and timing.

    My BlueMax is 45cc and 20". I'd love to find out what "mount" it actually is. Because I want a 16" bar on it.

    Chinese saw not parts, heck half the saws out there would qualify if we were going for parts...........................

    started working on the supersaw, found it has a floating sprocket clutch, should make it easy to change ratios. Modded the muffler this morning and made some chain tweaks and carb adjustments. Going to see how things work then modify a stihl chain for the final product.

    That blue Max saw is a boat anchor!! At 16.5 pounds its the same weight as my ms650!! But I think the BM includes the bar and chain and the stihl weight does not.

    I can tell you for sure that it's not 16.5 lbs. That's probably the shipping weight. Not the saw. The blue max is a light as an 026 and just as small.

    Size comparison and I would almost dare to say it's actually lighter than the 026 and the 026 has an 18" bar, to the Blues 20".
