I always pressure/vacuum test. Something made this saw lean out. The intake nipple was melted. I been putting a piece of gasket material blanking off the exhaust and putting a tire valve stem in the intake. Been using this set up on several saws. Cheap and functional.

Made this 340 a 350 a few weeks back. Never found why it scored. Cleaned up good. Meteor piston and a used cylinder. Bought the lower block locally.

No. This one I got free... I was hoping for a quick fix. I will swap the tank/handle to 028 #3, even though it's really beat up.

The one in the middle is the real nice one I posted pics of earlier. The one with the busted case is on the right.

My 038 mag (super conversion) just needs to be dressed, she is back to life. The p.o.s. Echo is my buddy's which still won't not bog off idle after new fuel and impulse lines as well as carb cleaning/kit.

The Kubota will get a block heater this weekend. Last year I got a 4' snow blower for the rear PTO and retired the Ford from plowing duty.

Mmmm, 028's :dex:. First real saw I ever ran was my Dad's 028S. I rebuild one a few years ago and it just wasn't the same. I wish I still had his old saw.

I have had a handle an top plastic on my ms650 for about a year or more. Its. Out as stiff as original bit has worked flawless for that period. Only 2-4 cords on it though.

Good to hear. I'm just amazed it bolted up with no fit ment issues and the fact of the cost. It will be interesting to see how it holds up. Aftermarket or not fuel tanks are not made to be used as scotches. :handshake:

Mine bolted up fine as well. The top right av rubber was the only thing I torqued on a bit to fit up but the raw had been dropped or had a tree dropped on it so some of that could of been from that.

But nothing was hard to bolt back together.

my 660/late 066 has had a crack by the gas cap since I got it 10 years ago. I put some kind of glue on it and its worked but now leaks when it sits. I have a clear tank for an older 066 but they aren't the same so I've been looking at a cost effective tank but just assumed the chinese stuff was junk.

Stang you would be surprised. For the money it gets the saw back in use. For a collector saw I would not put it.

    Yep.. I agree.

I've done an 036 and a 360 with the Hutzl tanks. Neither owner has complained about them to date. One is over 2 years old and the other is only about 6 months... Both bolted right up. No issues. I even added an OEM sticker to the last one. :) Tried to put the engine family (silver sticker) on it, but it wouldn't stick properly. Even with spray adhesive.

That looks like my 360 I sold toe winters ago. It didn't have a scratch on it. Prolly used once in all seriousness. It was straight gassed. Ported, she really ripped. Wish I wouldn't have sold it. I'd have given that to buddy
