I've been reading on this forum for some time and find it useful and enjoyable. So I joined up. We use a wood stove to augment our heat. I've always enjoyed the whole firewood process and find I keep stockpiling more wood each year. I guess that makes me a firewood hoarder. Dave,
Thanks for the warm welcome. Appreciate it. I only have one picture of my gear (attached) and that is the tractor, a little kubota B7610 with tines on the bucket and a box blade that I converted to a log winch setup. That little B amazes me in what it can do and it makes my whole wood operation so much easier. But I also have access to a Deere 2510 and a Kubota 6040 if I need more tractor. Saws are Stihls 024 AV and MS260. A Huskee 22 ton splitter. Various axes, drags, chains and such. And I really enjoy using all of it. Dave,
Welcome Dave, glad you joined us fellow hoarders here. Plan on spending a lot of enjoyable time here.
Welcome good sir! I'm going to warn you..if you hang out here long enough that "augment" might soon be "provide all"
Thanks all. Just last year, the "augment" almost changed to "provide all". Who knows what will happen in the future . It just so happens I do have a picture of my box blade/winch, but I don't seem able to upload it right now. I used a 12" receiver tube, with some reinforcing, to make the winch easily removable. The winch is a 8,000 lb Traveller from Tractor Supply. I reverse the rippers on the box blade to provide a very solid anchor to winch from. It works well. Would I want to use this on a continuous, professional basis? Nope. But for me, it works well. Dave,
