    How'd it split?
    I thought bigger splits would be longer burn times , not more heat output.

    Haven't split it yet. You're right though, I should've said longer heat, not more heat.

    I'm sure it will split great. I mostly cherry picked the best rounds, especially the first load. Left most of the bad ones for the vultures. Maybe I am becoming a wood snob...oh well, not a bad place to be.

    You must be ahead a few years
    It's good to become a wood snob, you can still bring wood home & not agonize about it . :)
    Cherry picking walnut is a good thing LOL :)
