I have the Lux 500e for many years now. Works great and only cost like $25. Mine has 5(week-2(weekend) day programming with 4 different schedule's for each day.

Rite tech is another decent unit. Put a few in for friends and no issues.

I do, I have it go to set back when we aren't scheduled to be home and when we are sleeping.

72°F Morning starting at 3:30 AM
68°F daytime starting at 10:00 AM
72°F evening Starting at 2:30 PM
68°F overnight starting at 8:30 PM

Weekend is similar except I don't start the warm up until 5:00 AM and keep the daytime temp at 72°F

I stopped using my thermostat. It ended up cycling too much. my stove does hi/low for an hour, if no call, off. if it just rumbled on low i'd use it. 99% of the time when it would go off. 5 min after the fans stop, it would fire up again. Waste of energy on the ignition and pellets.
i tried various swing settings from real tight to real wide and it all functioned the same, only getting too hot before it got too cold.

I had both a honeywell and a lux and both operated the exact same, poorly. lol they are in a box in the closet now.

Lux TX500e here. It's nailed at 67 degrees 24 hours a day, as there is almost always someone home.
