Want to increase the exit for chips/shavings with the Mac 125C,but don't want to destroy my good cover that is on it.And don't want to spend a fortune for a NOS or good used one to modify.... Can be filthy, have no paint and/or pieces/chips broken out of the back, but the holes for the bar studs, felling spike & chain tensioner screw must be intact & in working order. I'll cut the back part away, leaving the front half intact.Seen this done lots of times on the same saw in the past. So look through your odds & ends, boxes of junk & help a brother out, please. Pic is your standard 250/300 etc cover.Send PM with pic of your cover & your asking price including postage.I'll send your payment via PayPal as a gift,so they wont stiff you with those fees. Thanks!!
I'm sure I have one for you in my parts bin. Can't shoot pics until after work tonight. $5 plus shipping would cover it.
Maybe. Do you need another Homelite chain tensioner? I have many parts saws (and whole saws), and could stand to thin the herd a little. What are you looking for? My Craftsman 5.2 is not for sale. You may have something that I need. I'm looking for an inner clutch bearing race and clutch shoe washers for a Poulan 6900/7700/8500. The parts that I need are unique to the 3rd generation CounterVibe saws. 4200-5400 pieces will not work on my 8500 due to the larger diameter crank snout on the 3rd gen saws. I have the rest of the clutch parts.
Thistle I haven't yet made it to the shop to dig out a cover to photograph for you. Will do so tomorrow. Family stuff today. Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving to you too Gary. Let me know what you're looking for. Also please tell me if you have those Poulan parts I need. Gotta get my 8500 up and running.
Finally got out to the shop and dug up a cover for you. It looks better in pics than in person. That's because somebody sprayed it with yeller paint. Only crack I can see is in the clutch area (see my finger pointing at it). Bar nut holes are a little chewed up, but should be fine with washers. Spike flange and tensioner are fine. It won't fit in a small flat rate box. A medium flat rate Priority box will work. Those are around $11 to ship. Would $16 total work for you? Basically giving you the cover, as I don't have much into it.
Arrived today. Fits perfectly. I'm in no hurry to touch up the aluminum with paint where the cuts were made, since it'll get worn off pretty quick anyway...
Yup they are bad azz.....Saw had one with it when I bought it in Apr 2013,Rich Dougan (Saw King) in Canyonville OR sold me a matching one for the outside in May 2013 along with the 30" General rollernose bar with almost complete label (since then barely 1/2 is left) & new .404 square chisel skip chain.Only thing bad about it was when I had to remove the clutch cover for whatever reason the dawg always had to be removed first cause its so much bigger than the factory ones.... But now I don't have that problem.....Either installing or removal the dawg stays bolted on the cover.
