I was wondering the same thing. I really like the heat and ash from these but it seems like the stove eats through them noticeably faster than other pellets.
I have 2 more test bags left. Will throw them in soon and monitor more closely. I do like these a lot and would buy them again.
I "think" I got about 15-16 hours out of that bag which is what I've been getting with my tests so far.....give or take. I have to try and time my burns so it doesn't run out in the middle of the night. I think I started the AWF's around 5:00 ish last night and finished up 10:00 ish this morning.
I was able to move poolguys and wills post over from the review thread. Still learning(mostly messing up). Just trying to keep the review area neater. With chat's here and just reviews in the review section if possible. Or would we rather have chats in the review's?
X2....although I accidentally chattered myself in one of the reviews yesterday and didn't realize it.... IMO, we should keep the chatter out of the review area.
By all means anyone can post a verbal review along with them. Just trying to keep discussions to a minimum for less clutter. Or post your own review so you can use the star feature. The more reviews we see the better(yes even the verbal's). Should draw a good crowd once it gets noticed. We have got a group of good testers here. Lots of pellet knowledge in many area's/regions. So hopefully more will come out and play!
We(the mods) have to approve any of the posts in the review area. Where as the pellet bag doesn't require approvals. Just approved you clean Energy review!!
Steve, I hope you are planning on doing a formal review of the PTL softies? In my experience, they are on the same level as the Blazers, and I'm really interested to know if your test results concur.
Yes, I'll test those next and maybe followed by the Heat'rs that Will gave me.....I have about 8 to 10 bags or so of brands to test yet....Those PTL's are great that's why I went and bought a ton after burning a bag of those.
The more of these AWF hardwoods I burn, the more I like them. For a hardwood pellet, the low level of ash they produce is fantastic. Hardly any need to scrape the pot! They are quickly becoming one of my favorite low price options.
