Well, the eye surgery went off without a hitch. All seems to be turning out well. Amazing how they have it down to a science with Cataract surgery and lense transplants. The surgeon who did mine also did 12 others today. Now the heal-up begins.................. Glad to have it done before the holiday season starts.
That's great news! I remember the hell my Grandpa went through 40 years ago when he had his done. Thank God for technology.
I had the left eye done in September, was supposed to have the right done last month but it was cancelled due to a death in the Doctors family.
Amazingly better. So far, only need a slight correction in the left for reading. Be a week or so before verdict is in on the right. 6 hours post-op I can tell you that everything is a lot sharper, clearer and without the yellowish dullness prior to surgery.
Very good Rotti. Glad everything went well. Keep us posted on how things are going. And the doctor did not say you can't have a sip of brandy or the like. Right?
Good news, hope the recovery is seamless. edit- Was this "opti-rectal" surgery? Wife says I need that, something about correcting my chitty outlook or something.
I'm constantly amazed at what can be done now...knew a guy back in the 80's that had RK when it first came out (radial kerotatomy-think small incisions around the perimeter of the iris to flatten front of eyeball) and raved about it till a year or so later he was complaining about star pattern streaks while driving at night caused by oncoming headlights. Not always good to be first!!!
