    Since we are from all over and have differing climate and conditions...If you were the almighty and could mix and match trees to make the ultimate FHC dream tree it would be what combo of trees and which of their characteristics?

    Big white oaks with the smell of black cherry and the drying time of ash. I like cutting bigger trees, they make the wood add up fast.

    Splits like red oak, dries quick like gum or pine, keeps like cedar, puts out heat like hedge :thumbs:

    The btus of Oak, with the weight of bass wood, the easy splitting of Ash and the smell of Cherry with the value of Black Walnut with Maple leaves for no particular reason. :D

    The startup time, weight and branchinese of lodge pole pine pine, the scent of hickory, the color, stuckon bark, and grow like a weed-ness of mulberry, seasons like ash. Oh, and btu's of black locust.

    Shagbark hickory the size of Crater Lake's ponderosa pine, grow as fast as lodgepole pine, with few limbs, an endless supply, within a mile of my house, easy access , for $10 per cord.

    This miracle tree should be growing this miracle firewood like fruit.
    Conveniently dropped seasoned, ready to go every Fall.
    No, several times a year like lemons !!.
    Bundled like a large garlic would be kinda neat.
