I stopped by my local Stihl shop and picked up a 20" bar and chain for my impending porting job on my 261CM. It will be very interesting to see if I want to keep my MS361, along side a ported 261cm and 461. I like redundancy, and I already own one of each. However, I wouldn't mind slimming down to 261/461 combo and liquidating the 361. Oh well, it's nice to have these choices instead of counting every penny for the "one perfect saw."
Yes, I am blessed with a great career ( it allows me to buy land and chainsaws) and a great location for "wood" from standing timber, to fallen timber, to firewood or high-end cabinet lumber, etc. I never would have predicted it ten years ago, but, I put in 800+ sq-ft of red oak flooring from trees off my property, and I'm currently sitting on 1000+ bd-ft of KD rough walnut, 600+ bd-ft of KD QS white oak , a couple hundred BF of red oak, and various soft maple and cherry planks in my "back stock." I love making lumber from trees!!!! BTW, anyone near 17078 zip, I'm happy to share/sell my lumber at highly competitive prices. I'll never be able to use it all in my lifetime.

Nothing. Good thing I have a great friend with Woodmizer portable saw. We make serious lumber, seriously fast.
