    Here's a couple pix. The first is the East side of my cap taken looking straight West. The second is the West side of my cap looking East.

    What kind of differences in the draft do you see with the additional pipe section?

    I've never run the stove any other way. My roof is a 4/12 pitch and is half way down the West facing side. There's just over 7' of class A above the roof, just over 3' of class A in the attic to my support box and just over 5.5' of double walled stove pipe off the stove to the support box in the stove room. I'm just over the recommended minimum and I have back-to-back offset 45's right off the stove to clear a roof truss.
