Glad to get these together, finally. Just hoping, when I start dumping splits into them, I don't turn the plywood into kindling. Will throw junk wood on bottom to help. Have some corner brackets to add along with plywood screwed to the 2 angled 2x6 hopper sides, at the top of the Bilco. Basically done. You'll hear hollerin' from your place... if filling these makes em' so fat they can't roll thru the door... :hair:... :headbang:.........

Very nice. Are those strap hinges going to be able to hold the load when the bins are loaded down? You might want to put a shim under the angle iron rail to take the load.

I got the casters at HD Jack Straw. $15 I think. They're rated at 250 lbs each. Don't think the boxes could handle even 400 lbs of wood... we'll see.

Yep, those hinges are drilled and ready for spacer shims under the 3" span. Good eye Paul bunion.

The boxes roll in and out pretty smooth... with no weight. Gonna be a whole different animal loaded. The tracks and ramp are at a slight slope so the box will have to be tied in the Bilco while loading... or I'll shoot it right thru the block chimley.
I'll get pics of that BTW... :D

I like the foresight of the deflectors on the sidewalls.

How do you get the wood out of them?

The only suggestion I have to avoid damaging the bottom is to add some fatigue mat or similar to the bottom..
