It takes me an hour - hour and a half to split a cord. There's about 7 cord there. Shouldn't take me more than 2 weeks:whistle:

I split and toss over the bank...those fresh splits you see in the foreground are about 10' below the splitting beam. Without the rounds piled that close and the exit being a simple toss, I wouldn't be able to maintain that rate.

Yep, that's about 1/3 my time, and I really can't go much faster. Maybe it's my splitter...yeah, that must be it. I'll go with that.
I split straight into a trailer, then the trailer to the stacks.
    Breaks up the monotony.

I'd say you will have plenty of time, but you never can tell what Lake Ontario will send you.

Aint that the truth...this was first week of December 3 years ago and thats a 12/12 roof. I have a lot of respect for the guys who live up on the Tug and get the real snow.

You'll have to get that pile down so we can see that great sunset you get.

I woke up to the same scene all summer  I finally got around to splitting my massive pile of beech, ash, maple, cherry, pine and box elder. It's almost done. You will feel like a god when it's done and your in your chair unable to move from the pain looking at the awesome job you did :tree::axe::drunk::fire::)

About 3 inches on the ground this morning and got into almost a white out on the road to my first destination. Oh and I still have splitting to do and haven't moved my cord to the patio yet. Got a small rack covered by the door though.

There is a reason I try to get my cutting & splitting done in the spring, summer & fall. Once the snow hits, I like to stay inside. (It's a blessing to have a shop to hide out in.) I can do better with the heat than the cold.

I usually have all my splitting done in the spring but I just hauled too much last year and I just will not split in the summer.
