Cold snap a comin' to the Northeast. Lows in the mid/low 20s for 3 nights this week. Have to make sure I get the basement nice and toasty to keep the temps reasonable for the overnights. That is both a battle and an asset when I keep it up. That huge masonry foundation will hold heat, but is tough to get warmed in the first place. Full loads from here on.
Did that years ago. Then Irene effed up the entire basment with 36 inches of sludge. Refused to replace the insulation when I replaced the sheetrock. It would help, especially since the grade of the property exposes 3-4 feet of basement wall. I look at it this way; it's only firewood and I have plenty of it designed spccifically to burn.
