My buddy came over today to help me with the install, he's a sweep so it was easy for him but due to the weight of the stove its a two man job, only took us an hour and a half. Just lit the first break in fire, a couple more to go before I can let er rip, have great draw, wasn't sure if I would with the rear vent but the draw is just as good as it was with the Princess.
To you other PH owners, don't go far I will be asking questions the next few days.

thanks papadave, as you can see it just fit, I do have enough room on the sides to get back there to take the cap off when I clean. It was a long time coming and a lot of work, so glad everything works well.

That looks really good. How far back into the fireplace opening is the stove? My Castine is pretty much 3/4 in, and I would like to set up a fan to push some heat out of the fireplace opening.

Wow, that is a great look. Love the stove but the stone hearth is a killer. Is that mantle stone slab too?

Another fine WS product with great burning technology. Glad it's installed and running, time to enjoy it finally!

I have it back about 5 inches so 21" sticks out.

Thanks for the compliments guys (and gals), I've had two break in fires, can I let the next one go up to 500 or so?

That mantle is blue stone, the upstairs fireplace also has a stone mantle, we didn't have it built, a couple started building the house and had the shell completed along with the fireplaces and ran out of money, they had to sell so we bought it in that condition and finished it ourselves.

Do you mind if I ask why you went with this stove and away from the Princess (it was the BK Princess right?)?

That looks great. Love the color of the stove. Nice looking hearth. Perfect timing before winter really kicks in...

Looking great. I have a PH coming in late Dec or early Jan. Trying to figure out just how I am going to get it inside and on the hearth now. Thinking about hiring movers if needed, but would prefer to skip on that expense if at all possible.

I wanted a free stander and more firepower. I loved the Princess but I really need the King but don't have place to put it, even if this one doesn't save me a lot on my oil bill (used 1 tank a year with the princess) the cost wasn't much once I sold the princess and put that money towards the PH and my wife likes the looks of this one better, as do I.

A golf buddy runs a moving company and did it for me with one of his workers ( I slipped the worker a few bucks), they just used a heavy duty dolly and took their time, I made ramps to get it in the room.

Are you getting much more heat from the PH? How does it compare to the Princess? Same size firebox....

His Princess was an insert, I'm betting more heat will get into the room with the Progress. The Progress will probably have a better top end since it's a tube burner when burned hotter.

That's my hope, the princess insert has a 2.54 box, its a bit smaller than the free stand model, seems like the guys with the free standers could fit an extra row of splits which gave longer burn times, also it seemed they heated their houses a little easier than the inserts.
So far I've only done two break in burns but Ill find out soon enough how this baby heats, the big rock sure holds heat a long time.
