    Love the later Tubes albums.

    "Su..su..sushi and rice"

Their early stuff was a bit odd though.

Bet those were good shows. Ever see the Crossroads show when Lady A teamed up with Stevie Nicks? Liked it a lot.

Nope. I didn't see that. Sounds good. When we went to see Lady A, they had a band called Thompson Square with them. They were good! And a guy named Darius Rucker  opened up for them! He was great! Better than when with Hootie and the Blowfish. Great show, had a lot of fun. Couple cold ones in the bar before hand.

For our 10 year ann. I took the wife to Ottawa to the Westin Hotel down by the Canal and Parliament Buildings (this was where we went for our honeymoon) for the weekend and didn't tell her what we were doing. Took her to dinner and started driving West to Scotia Bank Place. Was she surprised when I handed her the tickets as we got close! LOL

They played Sushi Girl when I saw them a few weeks ago. Still a great stage show. And it looks like they have a show planned for your neighborhood. http://www.thetubes.com/shows.htm

Is Fee Waybill back with the band? We saw them in the late 80's at a small bar in Omaha when he wasn't with the band for some reason.

Thanks for the link...that's just down the road at the new Hard Rock Casino.

I love SRV. Here is my favorite. If you can buy his CD "Live at El Mocambo" It is really good.

For some reason my middle boy used to love "Touch of Grey" whether I sang it or played the album version.

Sounds like we have music in common. Though I'm all over the place from bluegrass to punk rock and back.

I understand completely on diverse tastes. If it's not punk generally I'm listening to either classical (Handel is probably my favorite) or Celtic music.

Celtic... we discovered the McDades around 2006 at a concert in Farmington. They're like... a celtic Tull/Yes/Moody Blues... lots of punches/stops/tight moves... modern stuff. Ever heard of them? They're from Canada.

I've never heard of them. Just been looking on youtube. This is different. How does this guy have enough air to play like this?
