My wood gathering most of the Summer from the local brush sites. I already hauled a cord+ to the house.
I was looking at burning wood in my shop but I already have a gas furnace(less work). Wood is a mix of Elm, Cottonwood, Locust and a little Oak. The shop has an interior wall that splits the building into two shops, so the heating isn't the most efficient. I gather this mainly for the house just in case the power goes out.
The weather swings so much here, today 72 degrees, low in the morning mid twenties, cold front is approaching.
Yup. Nice t-shirt weather today with a high of 40f tomorrow. Not uncommon for snow one day followed by sunny 70's or so the next.
Yeah the front coming through tomorrow will give us our high of ~50....in the morning. Got to get the rest of the peppers before it goes to low 20's tomorrow night
I agree it can swing wildly down there. Last time we went through the weather was nice but then we heard of an approaching snow storm. By the time we hit the city, the air was getting cold and damp. We headed south shortly after passing through town. Ran into some big time winds but missed the snow. Haven't been back since.
