This little guy really liked my boots I use for winter cutting. Thankfully one boot was heavier and I shook him out before putting it on.
2 summers ago I put my boots on and walked out of the house. Felt like I had a steel splinter going into my toe. I leaned over and started to untie the boot and it was like a sewing machine into my foot. Turns out a hornet was resting in there. Best one I've ever personally seen was when I was a kid. My and my friend were walking through a pasture field and all of a sudden he started jumping up and down screaming. Seems a field mouse crawled up his leg though his pants to his crotch. As he was yelling he was taking his pants off and I just stood there in shock, we still laugh about that one. A snake in the boot wood be a REAL bad day for sure!
I would need: New underwear More 00 buckshot for the shotty and new boots after I ventilated them I hate those things.
Yeah, black rat snake. Not poisonous and they eat mice around the barns and wood piles, so I usually just put them back in the woods. This past year, a guy who works for me started having vole problems, and so I caught him three or four to release at his place. We will see if it worked. Surprising thing was the boots in question were maybe four feet high on some shelves where I store all the boots. He actually picked the tallest thinsulated boot after skipping two shelves of other shoes.
they can climb - we watched one scale straight up the t1-11 siding on the garage in pursuit of a birds nest. This one some how got into the bedroom closet last spring....GF was less than pleased. I figure it came down through the attic, as I had heard a few thumps in the joists during the winter.
I think I could outrun a snake. Bears? not so sure! Been to Alaska and it's beauty can not be described. You have to see it in person to get the full effect. It's like your in a postcard or something.
This is another good reason to keep my boots in the house next to the door Nice and toasty when I put them on, and not full of snakes, scorpions, spiders, or any other creepy crawlies
